Zycortal is a suspension used as replacement therapy for dogs with mineralocorticoid deficiency due to Addison’s disease.
This medication may cause injection site reactions, tiredness, vomiting, increase thirst and increased urination.
Use with caution in animals that have congestive heart failure, swelling, or who have impaired kidney or liver function.
The effectiveness of this medication may be reduced if your animal takes potassium sparing diuretic such as spironolactone.
This medication will only replace mineralocorticoids. Dogs who have glucocorticoid deficiencies may need to be given additional medication.
Do not use in pregnant or lactating animals.
Do not use this medication in animals that are allergic to any of its ingredients.
